How we work
Three rules we have kept since 2011.
(A)
Say it plainly
If a sentence needs a footnote, we rewrite the sentence. Clients, users and we ourselves should all understand the work.
(B)
Show it early
We draw on paper before we open a screen. You see rough work in week two, not polished work in week ten.

Stay small
Eight people is enough. We turn down projects that would need us to become a different kind of company.

Started the studio in a Zurich attic in 2011 and still reviews every layout.

Leads identity and packaging. Believes a label should survive being photocopied.

Since 2011
A short history, in order.
2011
Anja Halm starts the studio in an attic on Löwenstrasse with one desk and a printer.
2014
First identity for a museum. First hire. Second desk.
2017
The film team joins. We shoot our first mountain.
2020
We move every client site onto a proper CMS and start writing content models.
2023
Eight people, eleven projects a year, and a waiting list we do not advertise.
2026
We publish our templates so other studios can start where we did.
